The World Series of Poker (WSOP) online schedule has been beefed up for 2020 and will now include 14 bracelet events.

With the organizers at WSOP HQ busy finalizing the summer schedule, the online calendar has been set.

The 2020 timetable builds on five years of development in the online space. This summer, 14 MTTs will take place between May 26 and July 12.

WSOP Makes More Online Action

In the interests of accessibility, the WSOP online bracelet schedule will include a mixture of events. Buy-ins will start at $400 and players will be able to try their hands at freezeout, rebuy, turbo and deepstack No Limit Hold’em events.

For some added spice, a $777 Pot Limit Omaha MTT will take place on June 7.

Notable additions to the 2020 schedule are a $1,500 eight-handed No Limit Hold’em event and a $10,000 Super High Roller.

Players in New Jersey and Nevada will be able to play every MTT, including eight bracelet events in eight days between June 28 to July 5.

Online bracelets have gradually become a more important part of the WSOP’s annual offering. When the concept was first trialed in 2015, there was a single MTT and the action was paused with six players remaining.

The final six would then resume their quest for a WSOP bracelet inside the Rio, Las Vegas. Anthony Spinella defeated 904 players to win the first ever online championship and $197,743.

More tournaments were added to the schedule in 2017 and the live portion of play was scrapped. Attendance figures have continued to increase since 2015 and, this year, the organizers expect more players to ante up than ever before.

New Innovations Designed to Boost Interest

To increase interest, a new Player of the Series leaderboard has been created. This will operate independently from other leaderboards at the WSOP and give online players a chance to win extra prizes.

This innovation will be coupled with a series of satellites which get underway on February 17.

Following another summer of highs in 2019, this summer’s WSOP will feature new ideas and the return of old favorites.

Alongside the 14 online MTTs, there will be 12 “tentpole” tournaments and low stakes options running between May 26 and July 15, 2020.
