The European Poker Tour enjoyed yet another successful outing during Season 10 and with the festival barely out of memory the organisers have already announced the EPT Season 11 calendar.

To ensure Europe’s premier poker event is kept well ahead of the curve and that players from across the globe can enjoy a unique tournament experience, PokerStars has already confirmed the dates for its main event.

Barcelona for Kick-Off

The EPT 11 party will kick off on August 16th in Barcelona, Spain, where it will feature a slew of special events to mark the 100th EPT in the company’s history. Aside from a customary Main Event, the organizers are planning to host a number of off-the-felt activities to ensure the landmark event is one to remember.

After packing up and leaving its centenary stop, the EPT bandwagon will make its way across the sea towards London. The October festivities in the UK’s capital will then set up stops in Prague and Deauville before the EPT Season 11 finale takes place Monte Carlo.

In 2014, the EPT Grand Final was a glittering success, and in 2015, the organizers expect even more qualifiers to ante-up in search of the tour’s most prestigious title.

Celebrity Pros Expected

On top of welcoming many of the world’s top pros, including Daniel Negreanu and recent EPT San Remo champion Vicky Coren, the organisers have also promised some interesting changes to the Season 11 roster.

Although the exact details of every change are being kept under wraps, PokerStars has stated that it will be offering Seniors Events (for anyone aged 50+), reduced buy-ins for women only tournaments, more non-Hold’em MTTs during Season 11. Moreover, the new schedule will include many more “fun” events such as Deuces Wild and Crazy Pineapple tournaments for those who want to wager on something a little different.

Another interesting change for prospective players is that the buy-in for EPT London will be reduced to £4,000+£250 to bring it in line with other European stops.

Commenting on Season 11 of the European Poker Tour, the festival’s President Edgar Stuchly said:

“Season 10 has been a tremendous success and we’ve had some great feedback from players who welcome the even greater variety of events at the festivals and the wide range of buy-ins. Partnering the local tours means our events are more accessible than ever before and we pride ourselves on providing the most professional playing environment available anywhere in the world. We will be building on this formula in Season 11 and, as always, constantly striving to enhance the player experience.”
