In the wake of the WPT’s opening event of season 16 at Choctaw Casino Resort, the organization has announced that all Main Tour events in North America will be shown on PokerGo.

The online axis of Poker Central went live in May, 2017, and has already secured a number of broadcast partnerships.

PokerGo Adding More Tournament Content

Available on a subscription basis, the streaming service is home to the new season of Poker After Dark, the Super High Roller Bowl and Poker Masters. On top of these in-house productions, PokerGo streamed live content from the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 2016.

Off the back of the WSOP deal, PokerGo will now screen final table action from the WPT’s North American events throughout 2017 and 2018. The programming schedule will kick off the Legends of Poker finale on August 31.

Traditionally one of the most popular WPT events, the Legends of Poker main event at the Bicycle Casino in LA will likely see a host of pros in the mix. On top of this, the organizers expect to award their one-billionth prize dollar during the event.

Fans Embracing New Ways to Watch Poker

The latest addition to the PokerGo roster is part of Poker Central’s ongoing efforts to improve the appeal of its streaming service. At $99 for an annual description or $10 on a monthly basis, Poker Central’s platform is almost unique in the industry.

Although it raised some eyebrows when it was first launched given the amount of free poker content that’s been available for more than a decade, PokerGo is starting gain some traction. As well as offering live action from some of the leading poker tournaments in the world, PokerGo also provides content for international viewers.

In recent years, players in Europe haven’t always had instant access to live poker events. With many North American tournament organizations showing content on stations such as ESPN, players in countries like the UK and Germany haven’t had the chance to watch events as they unfold.

As the reach and quality of poker streams has increased, apps such as PokerGo have brought more content to more players. In this instance, players around the world will now be able to view live WPT streams via their desktop or mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads and Android platforms.
