Poker Central, the world’s first 24/7 poker network, is offering an exciting promotion for anyone interested in winning some money. A lot of money, actually.
The second edition of the Super High Roller Bowl, which takes place at Aria in Las Vegas, begins May 29. 50 of the best players in the game will battle it out for a $5 million first-place paycheck.
While the poker stars duke it out on the felt, you can get in on the action as well. All you have to do is go on over to Poker Central’s website and sign-up for this free $1 million promotion.
Each contestant selects seven players of the 49 Super High Roller Bowl entries and the exact order in which they will finish at the final table. To win the contest, your entry must match up perfectly with the tournament’s final results.
For example, if you correctly pick all seven final table members but don’t project the winner accurately, you lose, even if every other prediction comes to fruition.
But, there would still be a chance to win a huge sum of money, just not $1 million. Should none of the contestants run the table, the $1 million prize won’t go to anyone, but a consolation prize of $10,000 will.
The player who scores the most cumulative points, in this scenario, earns the $10,000. Not a bad payday for a free contest.
About the SHRB
Right before the 47th annual World Series of Poker kicks off at the Rio in Las Vegas, the second annual Super High Roller Bowl will take place just down the road.
The inaugural event in 2015 was a hit. Brian Rast defeated Scott Seiver in a back-and-forth heads-up battle for the $7.5 million first-place prize. The buy-in last year was $500,000 but has dropped down to a more “affordable” $300,000 this year.
Similar to its debut season, the SHRB is only open to media personnel. Poker fans without a media pass won’t be allowed to watch the event live.
However, it will be shown live. Unfortunately, Poker Central has yet to announce television details other than to let everyone on Twitter know the poker network won’t be handling the live broadcast duties.
SHRB Players
Many of the same players from last year’s tournament will be coming back for a second year. That includes the defending champ, Rast. The runner-up, Seiver, is also in the field.
Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Bobby Baldwin, Phil Galfond, and Antonio Esfandiari are among the list of returnees. Phil Hellmuth will make his SHRB debut in 2016. One notable player who didn’t sign-up is Phil Ivey. It remains to be seen if he’ll spend much time in Las Vegas this summer during the WSOP.
Poker Central’s contest is sponsored by MVMT Watches. Only US residents can enter due to legal issues.
