Although details are limited at this point, Partypoker’s website features the message “our biggest single online tournament is back.”

What we do know though is that Millions Online 3 will run from November 24 to December 2. Additionally, Partypoker has stated the $20 million guaranteed prizepool will be back.

Partypoker Taking Another Shot at Glory

When the online operator announced its intention to host a $20 million online MTT in 2018, many thought it was a step too far. With PokerStars holding all the records in terms of size and prizepools, it was a bold move by Partypoker.

Despite initial concerns and a slow start, Millions Online eventually exceeded expectations. When the final numbers were in, 4,367 entries had been collected.

That total pushed the prizepool to $21,835,000, which meant Manuel Ruivo banked $2,329,943 after a heads-up deal.

With the reputation of Millions Online set, Partypoker believes it can generate another mega prizepool and, potentially, beat its own record. If that happens, it will be perceived as another victory over PokerStars.

Since breaking the record for richest online MTT in 2018, Partypoker has been engaged in a tit-for-tat battle with its rival. Sit and go tournaments have been the battleground of but loyalty rewards have also been used a weapon.

Spins and VIP Perks Pay Dividends for Partypoker

In February, Partypoker introduced a new loyalty level. Known as Diamond Club Elite, the top tier is designed to give high rollers up to 60 percent rakeback.

To access the new level, players have to rake $200,000+ in a 12-month period. According to a recent press release, one player has already done that.

Sent out to media members on April 2, the update says that sp0ubledy has become the site’s first Diamond Club Elite member. Russian but based in Malaysia, the online pro surpassed the rake threshold by playing Spins tournaments.

For the Russian, the new VIP status means more added value for the rest of 2019. However, for Partypoker the news is more significant given that Spins were the game of choice.

Upping the value of its lottery-style sit and go tournaments has paid off. As well as giving it a way to push back against PokerStars, the games are clearly becoming popular with high rollers.

As it looks to build on recent its success and towards the third incarnation of Millions Online, this could be a sign that there are more positives come.
