The Poker Masters Series has crowned its final preliminary winner ahead of the $100,000 finale which gets underway on September 18.
When the final $50,000 event of Poker Central’s Poker Masters Championship got underway on September 16, 39 players joined the action.
With the previous three tournaments in the series attracting some of the top players in the world, Brandon Adams knew he’d have to play well if he wanted to win.
Adams Tops Stacked Final Table
As Day 2 got underway, only six of the seven remaining players were set to take home some money and it was Zach Clarke, the son of Chip Reese, who became the bubble boy. But as one player fell, it was a chance for Adams to start his push for the $819,000 top prize.
By the time David Peters hit the rail in third, only the outspoken YouTube star Doug Polk stood in Adams’ way. In the end, Adams was able to roll back the years and pull ahead of his younger counterpart before ending the action with 9

Following his first win of the Poker Masters Championship, Adams moved into fourth place in the race for the event’s trademarked Purple Jacket.
Sontheimer the Surprise Package
Heading into the $100,000 final event, surprise package Steffen Sontheimer leads the way as the top earning player. Prior to the High Roller series, Germany’s Sontheimer has just over $3 million in live tournament earnings.
After taking fourth place in the opening event for $204,000, the relative newcomer to the high stakes scene beat compatriot Fedor Holz to win the second event for $900,000. Sontheimer completed his recent run with a fifth place and another $117,000 score in the final preliminary showdown.
