WSOP Betting Odds Favor Joe McKeehen

The World Series of Poker Main Event is set to come to a close on Tuesday, November 10, but ahead of the final result the world’s bookmakers are offering you the chance to bet on the outcome.

From Irish operators such as Paddy Power to Nevada-based bookies such as Bovada, there are a host of platforms currently offering odds on a range of outcomes, including the outright winner of the Main Event.

McKeehen Leading the Way

As expected, the current chip leader Joe McKeehen is leading the betting on Bovada with odds of 7/4 (+175).

Like many bookmakers, the flow of odds generally follows the amount of chips a player has, which means Zvi Stern and Neil Blumenfield are among the top options when it comes to betting odds.

However, there is one anomaly in the shape of Max Steinberg.

Although he’s now something of a Daily Fantasy Sports pro, Steinberg already owns a WSOP bracelet and has just under $3 million in live tournament earnings to his name.

These credentials, on top of a 20 million chip stack that will give him more than 166 big blinds, will make him a threat when the action kicks off and that’s something Bovada has recognized.

According to the operator’s latest odds, the American is being tipped as the 7/2 (+350) favorite for the most coveted bracelet in poker.

Away from betting on the outright winner of the 2015 WSOP Main Event, Bovada is offering a selection of additional betting markets.

Based around various outcomes, the markets contains a variety of short and long odds which should be enough to satisfy any US gambler looking for a way to boost their bankroll during the finale.

The WSOP Main Event has been on a break since the summer but will resume on Sunday, November 8, at 5:00pm local time with its final three sessions.

The action will be aired on ESPN with a 30-minute delay and the next World Champion will be crowned on Tuesday, November 10.
